PhotograFree

PhotograFree is an initiative started by two brothers, Henry Ng and Howard Ng, which aims to show that high quality photography does not require high quality gear.

Our project posits a fundamental question: What is the essence of a photograph? Is it the sum of its pixels, the price of the lens through which it was captured, or is it something more intangible?

In a world where the worth of a photograph is often determined by the equipment used to take it, PhotograFree seeks to dismantle this industry stigma. Our initiative, documenting the world, from vibrant streets of Hong Kong to the historic corners of the UK, serves as a canvas for a deeper truth.

PhotograFree elevates the discourse from a conversation about gear to a dialogue about meaning. It’s a reminder that behind every photograph is a story, a piece of the human experience that transcends the technicalities of shutter speeds and aperture settings.

We encourage readers to look beyond the superficial and appreciate the profound simplicity of capturing life as it unfolds, regardless of the gear in hand.
